Golf is a repetitive movement sport that requires constant twisting, bending and squatting down. Imbalances in the body can occur as some muscles become over used and others weaken. Many golfers are now turning to Pilates as a cross training tool to hit the ball farther, straighter and more accurately as well as prevent injury.
Find out how Pilates can improve your golf game!

During these workshops, we will roll and release our entire bodies, from our toes, to our nose.
Due to it’s rehabilitative nature foam rolling has become very popular among fitness trainers, PT’s and of course Pilates instructors. Many people think it’s “magic”, however it really is just science involving the kinetic chain. Your kinetic chain is made up of soft tissue: muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia. I personally like to think of my fascia as my internal jumpsuit or body suit, yes like a unitard, that’s a full length leotard.
Your kinetic chain involves the soft tissue and this entire tissue works as an integrated system. If one segment of the system is off, you guessed it all the other segments have to compensate resulting in a variety of things we know on a basic level as pain, tightness or discomfort.
Myofascial release techniques have been shown to relieve all sorts muscle and joint pain. From shin splints and plantar fasciitis, to IT Band Syndrome. It also promotes flexibility and leaves you feeling as if you just got a massage. So let’s see; less pain, more flexibility, results feel like a massage? Seems like a no-brainer. Or a yes-body!
